Our airport has been and still is frequently used for both initial pilot training (school such as EPAG, SEFA-DGAC, Flugschule Basel, Horizon Air) and crew qualification training by companies such as Air France, Edelweiss Air, Privatair, Jet Aviation, Helvetic Airways, Condor, Eat/DHL, Belair, Comlux, Hello Ag).
Proximity to both Switzerland and Germany has led to a large volume of traffic from flying schools and airlines from these two border countries.
